Yesterday I was working with a client of mine who has been on a cancer journey for over a year now. Her journey is going well, and the last scan showed a decrease in cancer.
While I was applying essential oils to her spine for her Raindrop session, I had a thought pop up. It has taken me some time, but when those thoughts pop up, I’ve learned to follow through with them because now I know those are directly from the Holy Spirit and I better not ignore them!
My thought was about an article I had read recently about the connection between parasites and cancer. According to this article, parasites are the cause of many common illnesses, cancer being one of them.
Then I thought, hmmm I wonder what the emotion is that allows parasites to flourish in the body?
I’m of the mind that when we hold a negative frequency/emotion in the body it then allows the attraction and growth of physical illness.
At the end of the session, while my client was relaxing on the massage table with a moist heat pack on her back, I grabbed one of my trusty books about this topic, how negative emotions and frequencies can manifest into physical ailments. I took a look in Louise Hay’s book “Heal Your Body”.
In this book it stated that the negative emotion for Parasites is “Giving power to others, letting them take over.” The positive affirmation to change this negative frequency is “I lovingly take back my power and eliminate all interference.”
When she was dressed, and I came back into the room, I asked if she would like me to share what I found.
“Yes, of course!” was her reply.
When I shared the info about the correlation between parasites and cancer, she laughed because it turns out her alternative doc thinks that is the case for her.
And then we got to talking about what does this “Giving powers to others means.”
To me, it means a lot.
Let me share what I think – I’d love to hear what you think.
To me, “Giving powers to others” means giving up on your dreams and desires.
It means deciding that the best way to dress is what is in style, not what you like.
It means listening to the news and hearing how horrible the world is, even though you just had a great day.
It means opening the fashion magazine and realizing that your nose is too big and your waist is too round to be considered pretty.
It means deciding that the girl who sits next to you in 3rd grade must be right when she says you can’t sing… even though you love to sing.
It means going to school to be a lawyer because your family thinks you should, even though your heart wants to open a preschool.
It means looking at your friends’ lives on FaceBook and deciding that yours is way too boring.
It means buying a big new house in the neighborhood everyone is in, even though you’d love to live on a quiet farm.
How often do we give our power away like that? Numerous times a day and over the course of years.
Just like parasites in our physical body, this giving away our power, our true desires, ambitions and self confidence eat away at our souls. A little bit here, a little bit there until you are not you, but a collection of parasites, the walking dead.
God gave you a vision and a dream. You can feel it in your heart and your gut. You know what you want to do. Is it to sing, open a pre-school, to smile when you look at yourself in the mirror and know that you are a pretty cool kid, you have great things to do and your are doing them?
Me too.
So, say it with me “I lovingly take back my power and eliminate all interference.”
Your Thoughts
As always, I’d love to know you thought on this topic.
What does “Giving power to others, letting them take over.” mean to you?
Hi Christina,
Thank you so much for this article! I retired in Dec of last year after the loss of my father and mother over the past 3 years and the craziness in the nursing profession over the past 2.5 years. I needed time to heal and have been blessed that I was able to make this move. I have started working on physical and emotional self care and one of the latest issues that I am working on is a newly diagnosed hiatal hernia. I started seeing an acupuncturist and found that having the needles inserted was so uncomfortable for me (both physically and emotionally) that (very nervously) I had to decline that modality.
Now to the reason for my comment – you wrote, “I lovingly take back my power and eliminate all interference.” In the past I would have bit my lip and thought that I had to go along with something (needles) that my body and mind told me I didn’t want but this time I somewhat calmly stated that I did not want to proceed with the needles. I stated my boundaries (something new for me!) and was met with a very supportive, loving response from the practitioner. She supported my decision and told me that she was pleased that I listened to my inner voice and that we could proceed with other body work instead if I would like to do that. It was wonderful and I look forward to continuing treatment with her. Boundaries are somewhat new to me so thank you for even more affirmation from your writing that this is a big part of the next season of my life. Thank you Christina!!
Thanks for sharing your story Vicky! That is wonderful that you have such a supportive practitioner. You are right, boundaries are important for people to keep in order to stay true to themselves. Sounds like you are going to enjoy your next season! Many Thanks 🙂
Thank you for sharing this! It makes a lot of sense. I’ve seen similar things in my practice.
